The Kedusha Roadshow
The Kedusha Roadshow will provide an immersive experience for Jewish communities in the creative sanctity of the scribal arts. Community members will learn the laws and traditions of writing Torah scrolls, mezuzot, and related objects, interact with artifacts from the various stages of production, spin sinew thread, and produce scribal ink for Torah repair. Our scribes will explore the intersections of these ancient crafts with contemporary values. Community members will have an opportunity to purchase mezuzot and tefillin produced from roadkill in an egalitarian framework.
The team will work with each community to tailor the curriculum with extra classes, direct member involvement in repair of the community’s Torah scrolls, etc.
We are currently pursuing grant money to launch the Roadshow during Spring-Summer 2024, providing the Standard Curriculum at no cost. If your community is interested in the free Standard Curriculum, please contact us below so that you can be included in our grant applications. Please ask us about tailored curricula and additional services. Organizational membership in the Kedusha Project ($1,000/yr) is optional and would be credited towards the cost of such tailored curricula.
